BOOK F.A.Q
So what’s the deal with the book?
The book is an optional addition to minutiae, an app-based project that allows you to document the ordinary moments of your life for your future self.
Can I upload my own images to the app?
No, the app sends you a daily notification to capture a snapshot of what happens at that very moment. Only the moments that you capture with the app are included in the book.
Can I still download all my photos even if I don’t get a book?
Yes, upon completing the 1440-day cycle, you can download all the photos you've captured with the app, even if you choose not to purchase the book.
So I get to see photos from all users during one day?
No, the book only contains your own images that you’ve taken with the app.
What’s the difference between the 360 and the 1440 Edition books?
The 360 edition contains only captured moments over a 360-day period. While the 1440 edition contains all the moments over the course of a 1440-day period.
What’s up with the 360 and 1440 moments?
A full day is 1440 minutes (60 min x 24 hours), and because the app allows you to capture one minute per day, each page in the 1440 edition corresponds to one minute starting at 00:00 UTC. The 360 edition covers 360 minutes (almost one year) but is sequenced chronologically and without missed moments.
Are the missed moments included in the books?
The missed moments are not included in the 360 edition but are included in the 1440 edition.
How do I order the 360 edition?
If you’re an active minutiae participant, you’ll receive an email prior to the end of each 360-moment cycle. In the email are instructions on how to order the book.
What happens when I complete the 360 grid view?
You’re able to order a 360 edition for each 360-moment cycle (four in total) sequenced in the following order:
Moment 1-360: record I - Green linen cover,
Moment 361-720: record II - Red linen cover,
Moment 721-1080: record III - Tan linen cover,
Moment 1081-1440: record IV - Blue linen cover.
How are the books sequenced?
The 1440 edition is sequenced minute by minute, the same way as the grid screen on your phone, with the first volume from 00:00- 11:59 and the second volume from 12:00-23:59, while the 360 Edition is sequenced in chronological order and without missed moments.
What’s this thing with Columbia University?

POSTER F.A.Q
Can I place an order for the poster before my 1440-day cycle ends?
Yes, you can place an order, but the delivery will be made only after you complete your cycle.
Do I need to mount the frame myself?
Nope, the poster is already framed, just hang it on the wall.
Does the framed version of the poster have real glass or plexiglass?
We have opted for plexiglass to ensure the poster's affordability and protection during delivery. If you prefer a glass frame, we suggest ordering the poster without the frame and framing it yourself.
What is the estimated delivery time?
Depending on your location, the delivery time can vary from 1-3 weeks from the date of order placement.
In what sizes is the poster available?
The poster is available in two sizes - 24x36” (60.96 x 91.44 cm) and 27x40” (68.58 x 101.6 cm).
How are the moments on the poster sequenced?
The poster is sequenced in a minute-by-minute order that reflects your phone's grid screen.
Is the paper quality the same for both framed and regular posters?
Yes, both framed and regular posters are printed on matte Giclée Art Print paper.
Does it matter if I use the iOS or Android version of minutiae?
No, the only requirement is that you have finished your 1440-day cycle.
What’s your refund policy?
14-day full refund upon receiving the poster.
