If you ever told a friend about minutiae, they might have responded: “I have to wait four years to get my book(!)”. We’re well aware that most people don’t measure time in days but rather in years. So we thought maybe we should add an option that allows you to view your progress in shorter milestones of 360 moments in addition to the 1440 view.

After some careful deliberation, “Does this compromise the artistic integrity of the concept?” we arrived at the conclusion that no, it did not. And why not also allow participants to order a book of those 360 moments instead of waiting four years??

So here it is: The minutiae 360 Edition - One Year Book (we know it’s not exactly a year, but let’s roll with it…).

Below are some of the questions we anticipate the most, but if you can’t find an answer to your question, just email us. 

Why are there four books?

As you probably already know, the full minutiae cycle is 1440 moments, which is also the number of minutes in a day. (Remember, minutiae lets you capture one minute per day.) Divining 1440 by 4 gives you 360 moments (or almost a year).

• Moment 1-360: Record I - Green linen cover

• Moment 361-720: Record II - Red linen cover

• Moment 721-1080: Record III - Tan linen cover

• Moment 1081-1440: Record IV - Blue linen cover

So, each book has 360 pages?

The number of pages in each book depends on how many moments you capture within that 360-moment segment. For example, if you capture 186 moments in the first segment, your first book will have 186 pages.

Are the missed moments included in the books?

No, the missed moments are not included in the 360 Edition.

How is the 360 Edition sequenced?

The 360 Edition is sequenced chronologically, unlike the 1440 Edition, which is sequenced by the minute. 

Why not 365 moments instead?

If each book had contained 365 moments, the fourth record would have contained only 345 moments, which would have been a bit….strange?

I only captured a handful of moments in my last 360-moment segment, can I still order the book?

Yes, of course, there’s no minimum number of captured moments in each book.

What’s the difference between the Standard and Premium book?

The books are printed on the same type of paper but the premium version offers more details in the photos.

What happens if I’m already two or three years into my journey?

You can order a 360 Edition for each of your 360-moment segments (four in total).

How do I know which 360-moment segment I’m currently in?

The email will include details about the number of captured moments in your most recent 360-moment segment as well as which record you’ll receive.

How do I order the 360 edition?

You’ll receive an email when your current 360-moment segment ends. In the email are instructions on how to order the book.

I’m not a participant, but want to start a new cycle and pre-order the book.

This is all great, but the real question is: How much does the book cost?

The book is $99 for participants who are subscribers or have donated and $129 for participants on the free plan.

Can I gift the book to someone?
